Did he have seizures during the two days that he wasn't able to take primidone? If he didn't, I would suggest that you wait until your vet can refill the prescription.
Although dilantin is also considered to be an AED (Anti-Epilectic Drug), there are some studies pointing to its ineffectiveness in treatment with dogs, since they need a rather large dose for it. Also, it is seen to react with primidone, so it may cause a bad reaction to occur on your dog.
