Sorry, meant to ask if there is a authorized GENERIC manufacturer of lamotrigine
An authorized generic is chemically identical to a particular brand-name drug, but the brand-name manufacturer authorizes it to be marketed in a generic version.

I've never been prescribed Lamotrigine, nor do I know anyone who has, so all I could do was google the information; take the following for what it's worth.

At http://bipolar-disorder.emedtv.com/lamotrigine/lamotrigine.html# the question is asked "Is there a generic version of Lamotrigine?" Following the link provided ( http://epilepsy.emedtv.com/lamictal/generic-lamictal.html ), we learn that there are at least five such manufacturers: Apotex Corporation, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Roxane Laboratories Inc., Sandoz, and Teva Pharmaceuticals. I hope this is the info you were seeking.
