Can the abortion pill be taken whilst on phenytoin
Phenytoin is an anti-eptileptic drug (epinutin) Is this less likely to make the abortion pill work?

Please no judgemental answers, this choice has not been made selfishley!

Sorry, I do not know.

But, I think you're best bet is to phone NHS 24 and ask them, or ask your doctor. They will be able to give you a correct answer.

To answer your question:
There are certain limitations that prevent women from having this type of termination:

* Women with an ectopic pregnancy or who have an IUD in place
* Women who have bleeding disorders or are taking blood-thinners are ineligible
* Those who have been on long-term corticosteriod therapy or are allergic to Mifeprex® or Cytotec or other prostaglandins
* In addition, anyone who might be unable to understand the effects of or comply with the treatment should not use the drug

It seems as if you fit the requirements, and that is all that the actual drug's website has to say about it.
If the abortion pill does not work, they will wait for everything to expel, and if it doesn't, then you are legally obligated to have a vacuum procedure done. They do that because there is no way the baby could be born without serious defects after that. You usually sign the agreement before they give you the medicine. You can not get it without a parent ANYWHERE if you are under 18 and you can not get it after 62 days gestation.

The decision to abort IS selfish. How are you doing it for anyone else? How is this benefiting the victim? Keep those things in mind as you begin this murderous rampage against your own body.

well before you are given "the abortion pill" the doctor or nurse who gives it to you will ask if you are on any medication

Hi,

Sadly people will be angry at your choice of having an abortion.

Mainly because, like me, most see babies as a blessing. Some may have recently suffered a loss, again like myself, or be trying for a baby.

I not sure about if it can be taken - that something you will have to speak to your GP about. Surgery may be the other option.

You say it has not been made in a selfish way but maybe you should really think about this as it can't be undone once it done and it is something you have to live with for the rest of your life.

The possibility of a diminished therapeutic response to mifepristone (aka the abortion pill) should be considered during concomitant therapy with CYP450 3A4 inducers such as Epanutin. No intervention is usually required however, expect that the abortion pill might not work to its optimum level.
