Topamax questions!!! i'm taking 50mg and it seems to be helping been on it for about 2 months now, my side eff

my side effects are that of course i was very tired at first that did get better but the tingling in my feet at random times is bad, feels like walking on rocks or something i know it is a common side effect, my question is my headaches are coming back and i think i may need a higher dose but if i go higher will the tingling pain in my feet get worse or stronger?? sometimes it is real strong.
beth: No i am not a smoker, I have talked with my doc but wanted some oponions from others who have taken this medication. I was going to go from 50mg to 75mg but was worried about the foot tingling rock pain some days i don't get it at all! others it just strikes out of literly no-where and it feels horrible but eventually goes away.

if you are taking Topamax and they are not help you anymore you need to see your doctor . sometime people can get use to there meds and they don't work any more. any side effect would be not working , making you sick, rash

Are you a smoker? I take Topamax for headaches as well. Only when I increase the dose I might get a little bit more tired for a few days.

Now, for me, I noticed the tingling in the feet, but that's ONLY because I am a smoker. I've asked others that I know who take this med and non smokers have not experienced this problem. If you are not a smoker, you should feel safe in asking for a higher dose to prevent headaches. This is something you need to discuss with your doctor.
