Epilepsy & sodium valproate
I had Epilepsy since 2001 and its true that so far i only got 3 seizures and all of them only happened while sleeping, my Doc described for me sodium valproate, I've been taking it since then, still something doesn't feel right for me...

sometimes i wake up the next day feeling soooo tired, my muscles are fatigue, and some times i don't sleep at all at night?

so how do i know that i didn't have another seizures when i wake up all tired and can barely move a muscle? and is not sleeping at night is a side effect for the medicine I'm using?

This medication is known to cause dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea, nausea and sometimes pain. When the patient feels an unusual tiredness, it usually points to a liver problem The inability to sleep is not found as a side effect of this medication. I suggest that you talk to your doctor about this medication. If you did actually have a seizure while you were asleep, and you couldn't do anything to control it, then more the better to consult your doctor.

Hope this helps. Thanks
