I started my 5 yr old pug on Phenobarbital and KBr 3 weeks ago for seizures. He's developed 2 bad habits since
Specifically, dumpster diving... he can't stop looking for goodies in trash cans. If we're not careful every single trash can will be ransacked when we come home. He's even gotten to doing it in front of us when we're home.

Secondly, he's developed a tendancy to want to get up between 2 and 3 am to pee, regardless if we've taken him out right before bed or not.

Could these be side effects of the drugs?

John

All I can say is - I had one of my cats on it for years and she now has kidney failure. She was really bad a while ago and the vet said it was the medications - I stopped giving them to her and she is much better.

I don't know what KBr is. I just know every cat that I have given prescription drugs to ends up with kidney failure.
