Is there a difference in generic wellbutrin xl (bupropion) and the name brand Wellbutrin XL

My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin XL, but my insurance only covers the generic, Bupropion XL. Is there any huge difference I should know about? I have read reviews from others who are not happy with the generic, but I wanted to know if it is a personal preference on there part or if there is actually a "chemical" difference.

There is no chemical difference. The big names have to cover the expense of advertising, so tend to charge more(and get away with it) just for special packaging, inserts, etc. Even your pharmacist will tell you there is no difference.
