READ the insert that comes with the medication some medicines aren't supposed to be crushed as that changes the way that they act or the way that they are absorbed into the blood stream and that may increase the side affects. Please before you hurt yourself read the insert if you're thrown it away call the pharmacy where you got the meds and talk to the pharmacist. And ask them what they suggest if you're not supposed to crush them.!! That way you might be able to find a way to take them that won't change the medications rate of absorption and you won't hurt yourself.
Yes, the outer shell dissolves very quickly anyway, however do not crush the tiny balls within the shell because they could be slow release.
Hopefully your talking about the same pills i took. An outer capsule full of hundreds of tiny balls?
Maybe your just not swallowing right. Try lots of water before and after pill.
The above advice is very good. But you need to have your esophagus checked out. Many, many people for some reason have an esophagus that closes a bit. This would explain your problem with choking or your pills getting caught in your throat. It is a very simple procedure no pain involved to enlarge your esophagus. This can be very dangerous because food can get caught in your throat and not come back up or go down which would be an immediate emergency and could choke you to death. I don't mean to frighten you just to let you know there is a simple solution
