Do antidepressants and antipsychotics block your connection to God and make his voice unable to be heard
Talking to Christians here who have experience of taking these sort of tablets
Atheists need not answer
Do they block your spiritual feelings?

Actually, since I began taking antidepressants, I'm in a much better place, emotionally, physically, and yes, spiritiually. As Trish said, when I was at my deepest in my depression, no one and nothing could reach me. Now, while I still have mood swings, good days and bad days, at least I am in touch with the world and with God again!

Some people have a physiological need for these medicines. If they cloud their thinking, they should be adjusted. In my experience, the opposite is probably more likely, since going without them can cause severe breaks from reality.

Why would you ask someone for advise on something they don't know about?

Talking to imaginary beings in the sky does seem rather psychotic; once you fix the problem, you do away with the effects.

I took Prosac a few years ago and I think it helped me to hear from God because I came out of my depression.

I have witnessed a lot of people who err by not taking their medication. I have not heard any complain that medication is blocking God.

anti psychotic drugs do tend to suppress the voices in their head.
