It's only Tuesday.

I took it for 2 weeks and my side effects never went away so I stopped.

You should continue for 2 weeks and then tell your doc how u feel.

It's not safe to go off or on psych medications without being under the supervision of the doctor.

The side effects will go away -- hang in there!

How many MGs are you taking? Since you just started there is little to worry about, with SSRI antidepressant medication there is a discontinuation syndrome which can be had if a person has taken them for awhile, but it's nothing major. I've had depression all of my life, since 8 or 10 for sure, but pharmacological agents are a "doorway to nowhere" in that there side-effects are usually worse than the benefits. Even if they work perfectly for you benefit is a misleading word here because they don't actually do anything good, they just make some people unable to feel their depression.

If you are seriously depressed, borderline suicidal then they MAY be able to help you, but I wouldn't bet on it. A few weeks ago someone asked me if it's possible to be suicidal even though they are happy, this didn't make sense to me so I asked for clarification and they said since they've been taking their anti-depressants they felt like they were happy but still had suicidal urges. There are all natural substances which cost very little and provide TRUE HEALTH BENEFITS. Some of the best are 5-htp, L-theanine but other vitamin deficiencies can also cause depression so a vitamin level test could provide you with significant benefit. Mainstream medicine will always want to prescribe meds because it is how they make money, if other people in the health profession told you all-natural substances which helped a lot then no one would get psychotropic meds EVER. ADD is strongly linked to depression, but especially certain types of it, shoot me an email if you have any questions or definitely if you have ADD (or a short attention span many times if undiagnosed).
