Lexapro and Alcohol Help
OK i have recently been prescribed 5mg of lexapro. I like to go out on the weekends and have drinks.I'm just wondering is it OK to drink while on lexapro? and if anyone has any previous experiences please do share im very interested to hear about them.

Absolutely not! Lexapro mixed with alcohol causes overdoses. When I was on Lexapro, I would go out and have 1 mixed drink or 2 beers. No more then that. Antidepressants make you quite sensitive to alcohol. (While I was on it I got alcohol poisoning, not a fun time.) Have a drink or two but say no beyond that! Best Wishes!
