Would the Master Cleanse diet affect my antidepressants?
I'm only planning on doing it for a day or two (just to detox, I don't need to lose weight). I'm especially concerned about the sea-salt morning laxative thing. I take 75mg Effexor XR in the morning, and 30 mg Remeron at night. Will these be affected?
Going on a diet while taking antidepressants is fine. But with the Master Cleanse diet which promotes no eating of food, you might have some problems like Effexor is needed to be taken with food. Also, there are several side effects that one may feel when on the Master Cleanse diet that may aggravate your feelings of depression. But if you really like to go on a diet, it is better to consult your doctor about it.
