Antidepressants - extreme lack of energy?
Hello,
I've battled with all the big name meds out there. I finally decided I don't want to be on them and I've discovered some things that have made my life so much easier. I really think I'm ready to get off this junk.

I take effexor (150) and welbutrin (300)

I dropped down down from 225 effexor and I felt... amazing.. better than I have felt in years. Now though I find waking up in the morning is one hell of a fight and I don't ever seem to have that alert feeling. Even after a cup of strong coffee I could fall back asleep. So I can continue weening this out of my system, but I would like to raise my energy level, both mental and physical.
I go for a walk/jog through the park every day, take pictures of random things, so its not as if I sit in my room and do nothing all day.
Any suggestions?
I take 75 effexor before bed, and the rest of it all in the morning. When I talk to my psychiatrist, all I really get is suggestions to change the time I take it, which over the course of 2 years and 6 different meds has been fruitless...

You can probably add more activities to your daily regimen. What do you want to do, as in really want to do? You can also join up with a group of similar interests. I wouldn't like to suggest other medications since you are already taking a lot of them.

There are several effects of antidepressants which vary for each person. If lowering down the dosage helps you more, then try doing so gradually. Maybe it is time that your body get rid of it and start living again.

Wishing you luck!

You should take one not both. I just had this issue with clexa and prozac. But after staying on celexa, i had to lower the dose and take it at 8pm or i was a zombie from hell
