Antidepressant with low side effects?

I have had mild depression for a couple of months and don't know what to do. I tried to avoid antidepressants because I have such a low tolerance to all medication...I have to take baby antibiotics! I also have pretty severe anxiety so a lot of medications aggrivate that. Does anyone else have this problem? Has anyone found medication that works for depression but doesn't make them more anxious? I know everyone is different but some advice would really help! I have talked to my doctor and have tried celexa and zoloft...both had horrible side effects. They made me have awful anxiety attacks...what do I do???
I actually believe that the anxiety is worse than the depression. I think my depression is partially caused by my severe anxiety. How can I control that?

Have you tried going to a health food shop? Some of them have natural medicines which I understand are quite effective against mild depression.

I think lexapro But for the first two weeks i had really really bad side effects because my body wasnt used to it. It made me extremely sleepy, I couldnt hold down my food, and it made me feel weird. I went to my Dr and he said he never heard of those symptoms happen bc it usually makes people NOT tired but he told me to stay on it until after two weeks and if the symptoms dont go away then he was going to switch me to something diff. but WA LA! the symptoms have gone away and I really like lexapro.
