Has anyone taken an antidepressant during their pregnancy?
Please no rude opinions or comments. I just want people who have taken or are taking an anti depressant during pregnancy to tell me how their baby turned out, and if everything went well. Some people have to weigh the benefits vs cons, and decide what's best for them and their baby. I just want to know if anyone on here has gone or going through this. Anyone take Zoloft specifically? If so how long before you started feeling the effects?

I was put on welbutrin but all drugs are a rick to the baby thats why I quit taking mine they took me off prosaic and any of the really strong anti depressants. If your before 12 weeks dont count on even getting a perscription for it because most docs wont give it to you that early because thats when everything about the baby is developing and they dont wanna risk any harm. Hell I can't even get phenegran yet

i took an antidepressant when i was pregnant, it was for PTSD ( i am a USN veteran )....my doctors gave me a specific one that was in a classification that listed that showed that it had no negative long terms effects on the fetus...that was 6 years ago...my son is a happy, energetic, crazy, imaginative, and actually quite bright for his age

it took about 4 weeks before i started to feel the effects...however, i do not know if the FDA still lists that anti-depressant as safe for pregnant women...what you need to do is go see your doctor or psychiatrist and speak with them...make sure you tell them you are pregnant, how far along and so on

a few websites that i read has stated that Zoloft has been linked to birth defects so you do need to consult your doctor
