Can antidepressants actually make you MORE depressed?
I've been on Paxil for almost a month now, and I am so darn tired all the time. I feel like I'm in a haze and have no motivation at all. I was generally feeling like this before the Paxil, which is why I wanted to start on an antidepressant, but since taking it, I've been even more fatigued and zombified than ever. I've been in somewhat of a forgetful stupor. Has anyone else had this experience with paxil? And could it just be side effects and not the actual effects of the medicine? Should I hang in there?

It seems that the antidepressant you are using is not working for you. That's the thing with antidepressants. You really have to "shop" for the right one for you. Each has its own individual effect, some working and some not. You may want to ask your Doctor about switching antidepressants.

Or, if you want, you may also consider getting counseling since your depression may be due to a trauma in the past and not anything wrong with your body. If this is the case, sometimes taking antidepressants may make your condition worse, plus the fact that you still have to do battle with tolerance issues, addiction issues, and withdrawal symptoms afterwards.

I hope you feel better soon.

That's what I thought so too. I'll better choose counseling because I don't want to depend on drugs. Thanks.

There you have it: ANTI depressant; a medication use to fight depression. If your current medication is not working for you, try to buy prozac or buy fluoxetine, whichever will work for you.
