Does vicodin make your antidepressants not work?

I've been taking vicodin lately....I know its addicting but I feel so much better when Im on it. Now Im feeling depressed when I take it and it seems to not work as well as it use to. Im also on cymbalta for my depression. Does taking vicodin make your antidepressants not work as well? And can anyone recomend what I can do to help not take the vicodin anymore. I've been taking it off and on for a couple of months now and its getting harder and harder to go without. I really dont want to go cold turkey is there some kind of medication that could help??

Vicodin is a depressant.........it relaxes you and makes you think everything is ok.......the problem is the same as alcohol, when you start to get depressed you think you need more....that's why you are on anti depressants.....your trying to change the way you think about what you take.....how to get off is take 1/2 or 1/3 of one and then skip one day and take 1/3 again....and then just quit.......but take your doctor's pills and drink lots of water to flush out the body.
