I have had high blood pressure for over thirty years, continuously, for about 20 years. Through those years I have tried various BP medications, most of which have caused very uncomfortable side effects. I had a surgery in 1996, and at that time my dr.told me lotensin ace inhibitor was the right medication for me, and I have been taking it now for 12 years. With very few unnoticable side effects. Now I have new drs who told me to switch to lisinopril, basically because it is cost effective. I have been taking it for about a month and each week I feel worse. My bowels are all screwed up, I'm constipated, my bladder hurts cause of the pressure and my muscles ache. Can drs force you to do this. Sometimes I think drs make you sicker,,,Help me..I think that is the worst reason to make me switch medicines...
