How long to side effects of spironolactone last

I just started taking 50mg a day about two weeks ago, and I get drowsy when I take it, will this get better or go away with time?

Well I take 100mg's a day along with 6 other medications for 3 years.
I am awaiting a Liver Transplant, Yes you will feel this way but I
have found staying busy with mild exercise keeps me feeling a bit
better. I always have some kind of project that I am working on
and I just ignore the side effects of the medications, along with
daily Prayer and my Faith in God.

Drowsiness & lethargy are some of the side effects of the drug. So you would continue to experience these side effects while you are taking the drug. If it really affects your daily routine, you should consult with your doctor to alter your dose or change your medication.
