I have been on bp meds for 10 years. I am now on norvasc and lisinopril. I just did bp and it was 160/122
I am 39 years old and thought my bp was under control.

That's quite a high bp and you are still young enough to have that high bp. Most of the time, even when taking medications, when our lifestyle and habits are not changed, you will still have high blood pressure. BP medications do not cure high blood pressure. It just helps keep it normal. But it cannot work if your lifestyle is unhealthy.

Also, it can also be that the dosage you use is not right for you anymore. Or that there are other underlying conditions that contribute to this high blood pressure. I suggest that you go back to your doctor and have a full medical and physical examination, with all the blood tests and stress tests. Blood pressure may be affected by other factors aside from the cardiovascular system.

Have that check up as soon as you can. With that high blood pressure, you are already at risk of developing a stroke.
