Ramipril / Tekturner - ACE inhibitors?

My Dr. says he is considering prescribing Ramipril or Tekturner - ACE inhibitors - to improve my blood pressure. It's crept up to the 150 - 160 region.

Which is better?

Are there better /newer /cheaper /products with fewer side effects /products with more history?

ACE inhibitors are the cornerstone for improving blood pressure… and I think it is the best medicine for it so far…..
