Racing heart after taking Atenolol
I've been taking Atenolol for two weeks because I had a racing heartbeat and I was to stop taking it for a week to see if it made a difference but my heartbeat has just gone back to how it was before. It's not constantly racing, it just happens randomly throughout the day.

It really depend on the specific type of tachycardia you have (tachycardia = fast heartbeat). Treatment for tachycardia has two main types: medications and nonsurgical procedures (catheter radiofrequency ablation). A pacemaker may also be used. Calcium channel blockers or beta-blockers are supposed to control heart rate more consistently both at rest and during activity. However, you still need further test to know what really causes your fast heart beat to get specific answers.
