I haven't yet talked to my vet about the cost of my ferrets chemotherapy. About how much does IV chemotherapy for a ferret cost? I will be heading to the vet tomorrow, but I wanted a heads-up on how much money I will need. Thanks.
Did your vet tell you about how he will be performing the chemotherapy? For animals, not all are done through IV. Some are also given as pills or injections.
Since it will depend on what will be used and how it will be done, it would be a bit hard to tell how much the cost will be. Just for the chemotherapy alone, expect to pay around $200 to $2000 and that is for just one session. There is still the cost of antibiotics, vet's fees, etc.
