katy :) is on a distinguished road
happens to me too.
heres the deal:
-NEVER eat anything you like right after chemo. I get it on monday once after chemo i went out and got mozzerella sticks and ate them, now they make me want to throw up
-eat cold things, i like popsicles, yoghurt and cranberry juice, drink things with ice cubes in them.
-She's probably going to have weird cravings (i did) i liked frozen food, if someone offered me chicken no way but frozen tv dinner with chicken i loved
-Let her relax, i got really tired. Se needs to distract herself i watched TV and slept.
-She might not be hungry, thats okay.
-The medicine i took was no help so i suggest cold foods with little odor.

email me if any more questions im on chemo too probably the smae drugs, Dactinomycin (Actnomycin D)?

My sister was having chemo also, so I understand how horrible your partner must feel. I don't know what the medicine is called, but my sister's Dr. is the one who prescribed her nausea medication. She sleeps a lot, but it seemed to work for her.

I know its not legal everywhere, but thats why the prescribe medicinal marijuana. Also look into holistic treatment of nausea. I know Ginger, Rhizome root and Mahola are some. My mother used them during Chemo. I hope your partner feels better!

My grandmother had cancer and was very sick after her Chemo treatments. She took a pill called Zofran that seemed to help her stomach calm a lot. There isn't a lot that can be done, I hope things turn out well for you both. I'm sorry you both have to go through this.
