Medical Marijuana works...I'm not joking, but I think you can get a perscription only if you live in California (there could be other states, but I don't know which). I read an article about a father who had to resort to Marijuana to keep his 17 year old daughter from her constant feeling of nausea during her chemothreapy treatments...and he was greatful that he found something that helped ease the suffering.

Now of course it depends on your view of marijuana...I'm just letting you know that I read about it...it's an option...maybe there's something better out there...but it is an option.

her oncologist could give her a better rx. tell him/her that its not working and they will give her something else to try.

If the nausea is a serious problem with the chemo, ask your physician to perscribe Ondasentron injections 5 miligrams, two houres BEFORE giving the dose of chemotherapy.
There are also, other choices, such as granisentron *tablets and injectable vials iv, ALSO HALOPERIDOL AND DROPERIDOL the latter, comes only in injectable forms, ideally before and after the chemo.
The caution is that, is the chemno sessions are too close from one another, the anti nausea medication can have side effects, like tremor, and restless legs, that last some 3 to 4 days after the medicine against neuse is given.
Good luck

try ginger..fresh with some tea is best, or you can get capsules. also, benadryl is good for anti-nausea, but I don't know if that's okay to take while on chemo.

Hope she starts feeling better soon! =[

Do call her hospital doc or Gp or cancer nurse - they're all specialists in managing this type of reaction and will have various anti-nausea treatments she can try.

If you speak to the oncologist he/she may be able to vary the treatment. This is not a case for self medication.
