There are hundreds of forms of cancer and many forms of chemotherapy are used to treat these.
Every patient has a different experience of drugs used, rate they are used at, number of times administered and side effects suffered.
Your friends oncologist is in the best position to advise which side effects they are likelyl to suffer and what they can offer to minimise this.
Otherwise all most of us can tell you is what you can find on any web site.
Personally, it made me tired and a bit cranky, my hair fell out - almost everywhere (had enough left on arm for it to hurt when they took off the tape holding IV in place after chemo treatment), food tasted funny, I didn't have nausea, just indigestion, prone to infection, prone to sunburn....
