Question about chemotherapy......

for CML is it common to use a combo of Imatinib and another chemotherapy drug? Because i get Imatinib and Vincristine, but it seems not normal to be on 2 drugs, even though one is oral and one is through IV...any info would be appreciated.

Every case is different and your oncologist will have tailored your treatment for you.

They take into account the type of cancer, the location of the cancer, your age, overall health and a whole stack of other factors.

Being on a "cocktail" of drugs is quite common and normal for chemotherapy.

I have NHFL stage 4 and I took three different kinds of chemo . Trust me they won't give you anything thats not going to help you. Hang in there and keep asking questions and you will be fine you will overcome .......
