What are the benefits/detriments of receiving chemotherapy
A friend of mine was diagnose with a liver tumor, which could possibly have been there for 5 to 10 years.
He shows no symptoms of cancer for that time, so is it better to leave the tumor alone (since it hasnt caused harm) or go for chemotherapy?

Pros and cons please!

You need to talk with a professional as not sure if it is malignate and might spread, but looks like they feel they can use the chemo to get rid of it. I suggest you google the heck out of it, but the chemo targets the cancer cells and unfortunately doesn't help the good cells. This is why people get sick and hair falls out. You should also google "resveratrol aggarwal". He is the lead doctor at MD Anderson Cancer Center and they have also been doing the research on the resveratrol which you can buy at vitamin and heal food stores. It targets different pathways of the different cancers. Tons of info on it from oncology to this type cancer. It is made from many different plants, but here the most potent is the pulp of the muscadine grape and the Chinese and Japanese use the root of the knotweed plant.

Freind had three tumors and given 3 months and did some chemo then started taking this stuff and that was over three years ago. There is a 58 page report lyou can find online and take to him to show his doctor, you can also e-mail the doctor and will send to lou.

As far as the chemo it has been found that the cancer cells will try and get rid of it and they have studies that show the resveratrol helps keep it in the cancer cells.

As far as the tumor, it will probably get bigger and bigger, might spread and need to be removed, but your friend needs to see and talk to a professional.

I suggest you look at the resveratrol. many take it each day as a preventative.

The pros of chemotherapy is that you lose weight the cons of it is you get weaker, it makes you age ( you look older), and your hair can thin or fall out but if he wasn't diagnosed with liver cancer and his doctor said so it probably needs to keep an eye on it that's all.
