Chemotherapy question
How come some people don't lose their eyebrows after chemo, and some do?

Depends on the type of chemo and the persons reaction to it. Some kinds can cause total hair loss, others can cause partial, and some people don't lose their hair at all.

Because of the different types of chemotherapy drugs used in the treatment of cancer. Some drugs deal with effects that cause hair to fall out, others cause numbness in your fingers and toes.

Also the strength of the drugs being used. Some are in smaller quantities over longer periods of time.

Not everybody responds the same way to the same kind of chemotherapy. It is the individual that determines how one will react to the poisons injected into the body.

The age, physical condition of the patient are all determining factors that can weigh on whether or not somebody loses their eyebrows during treatment.

Lots of factors to take into consideration. Not one pat answer.
