Is it normal for a cancer patient who has had one session of chemotherapy and four weeks of radiotherapy?
for throat cancer to experience extreme confusion (i.e. forgetting names, getting words mixed up, not recognising words). The surgery was in November and the therapy finished a month ago.

Yes indeed.I had chemotherapy and it played havoc with my memory. It will take quite a while before returning to any kind of normality, but try not to worry as this is a common side effect of cancer treatment.
There are cancer websites that can answer most questions too.I found the Breast Cancer Care website a great source of comfort and information.
