Chemotherapy & Cancer
When cancer goes away do you still need chemotherapy.. if yes how long for?

If you have had surgery to remove the cancer, sometimes there may be cancerous cells in the bloodstream or elsewhere in the body (e.g. lymph nodes) and chemotherapy and/or radiation are beneficial helping to destroy those cells.

It depends on the type of cancer how long chemo and radiation would be administered. For breast cancer I had 6 rounds of Chemo over a 12 week period and then 30 rounds of radiation, given every day (except weekends).
