What are some good foods a chemotherapy patient can eat or drink to gain weight?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

When my mum was having chemo, she was not up to eating so just drank lots of "build up" drinks which the hospital gave her. They gave her as many as she wanted and she practically lived on them. They really seamed to do the job.

During chemotherapy, maintaining adequate nutrition is key to minimizing deficiency and optimizing your immune system, strength and treatment tolerance. High calorie and high protein diet is recommended.

One of the possible side effects from chemotherapy is loss of appetite. You may not feel like eating much during your treatment. So it may be easier to eat little and often, rather than trying to eat larger main meals. If you really don't feel like eating much, you may find it easier to drink high calorie meals in a drink. These liquid meals come in many different flavours. You may like some more than others, so it is worth trying a range.
