I'm so sorry. A few years ago, I had a dog who had lymphoma. She had chemo on and off for two years. She had a rare, horrible reaction to one treatment of chemo, but she pulled through, and she never had another reaction with the other kind of chemo that was used to avoid having another reaction. The chemo caused her to shed a lot, but she still had tons of fur (she was a golden retriever), and she wasn't balding or anything. Also, I think she was a bit sluggish right after chemo. However, I am so glad that we gave her chemo. She went into remission twice, which gave us two more years instead of a few months, if even that much. It's well worth it.
