why am i still tired after taking SEROQUEL

hi,I am a 17 year old male and im taking seroquel because i have difficulty getting to sleep and was always tired in the day, the doctors did a blood test and ruled out everything else and said i had depression.

I took seroquel and slept for 10 hours but when i woke up i was still tired, as the day went on i felt a little better because the groggy feeling wore off. But i still felt really tired. It feels asthough my whole body has rested except my eyes and i have dark under eye circles from 10 hours sleep??? BTW i have dreams
no, i mean when i have dreams that means im getting deep sleep which is quality sleep?

It maybe from the time you take the seroquel. I assume you take it close to bed time? Talk to the doctor about taking it earlier. For example, if you usually go to sleep at 11pm, ask the doc if you can take it at 8 or 9pm. Taking the drug earlier reduces that med hangover feeling that these drugs can give you the next day. Also many clients report that the hangover feeling gets better after they have been on it for 4 to 6 weeks, it's like their body gets use to it better. As far as the dreaming issue, bring that up to the doctor as well, it could be dose related and may be able to be adjusted.
