My 12 year old daughter takes seroquel for mood disorder and we just found out that..
her triglycerides and cholesterol levels are high. Does anyone else have this problem due to the medication? What do we do?

I don't know anything about the disorder or the medication, but I'd definitely talk to a doctor about it. You can call the doctors office, or you can call the hospital. It may be nothing to worry about, but you never know. Just as long as you get someone on the other end of the line who knows something about Seroquel.

Some patients may experience elevations in cholesterol and triglycerides with SEROQUEL XR and SEROQUEL as seen in data from multiple trials. Talk to your daughter's doctor and discuss other treatment options. Users of Seroquel should not, under any circumstances, decrease or cease their use of Seroquel without being instructed to do so by a doctor, so don't make your daughter discontinue the drug all of a sudden.

My mom used to take that too.
She stopped because her cholesterol.
It probably does cause high cholesterol.
My advise go on something lighter.
Not as strong.
And if your daughter has a addicting personalty get her off those pills ASAP.
They are highly addicting.
Well for my mother they were.
She o.d on 2 day before Christmas. She was lying on the floor for 12 hours until i got the guts to call my dad up.
He works at Naperville and we live in Chicago.
I couldn't lift her up because she ways over 200 pounds and im only 12.
But anyway try to find something lighter.
