Zyprexa (Zidis?) ...
A few years ago after I tried to commit suicide they put me on Zyprexa. I think it was Zyprexa Zidus but I'm not sure. People said I looked happier, acted happier, not angry or emotionless. Normal. But I got frustrated that they were "forcing me" to take drugs so I stopped. (I wish I hadnt.)

Now I don't feel much of anything. On the weekend I saw all these relatives I haven't seen in years; a situation most would be happy; but I couldn't even break a smile. I guess "sulk" is a word to describe how I felt. Do you think I should go to doctor and ask for this medication again? Or just tell her i'm depressed?

Be glad you went off it unless you wanted to get fat. If I were you I would take something else. Something that doesn't cause weight gain. But if zyprexa works well for you then maybe you should not worry about the weight gain. It's better to be happy and alive then dead from suicide. I've never heard of someone saying that medications helped them feel emotions and such. Medications tend to numb people out, affect there cognitive thinking negatively, and cause weight gain. I'm telling you that you will most likely gain lots of weight if you take zyprexa for a descent amount of time. (Like a year). It doesn't help depression when your fat too. Plus I haven't found medications very helpful, if helpful at all. I know many mentally ill people on medications so that is my source. I take them though because I'm trying to prevent a manic episode from happening.

I'd say always always talk to ur Dr, before quitting or starting medication. u've suddenly stopped taking it, this is not harmless, cuz this drug changes some chemicals in ur brain. and if u want to re-take it u need to make sure the previous dosage will be effective- smtmes after such gaps, they change the med, or the dosage.

I think you should go back to the doctor that prescribed the Zyprexa.
Let the doctor decide what to prescribe after he/she talks to you. I took Zyprexa for a while and I gained fifteen pounds. If you do end up taking Zyprexa, be careful with your weight. I hope you will be feeling better soon. Good Luck.
