Does Zyprexa cause weight gain?

My husband is on Zyprexa for about a year and has gained about 30 lbs. Does Zyprexa typically cause weight gain?

Zyprexa is associated with weight gain. In fact in one study, (Crocq Study), 16 subject patients gained up to 20 pounds in 3 months. Another study, (De Haan Study) showed that 9 patients taking Zyprexa gained up to 8 pounds in 4 months.

Huh? But according to the information i gathered from drugs.com, one of the Zyprexa's symptoms is loss of appetite. How you'll gain weight if you loss your appetite???

Unless... The patient encounter its less serious side effect: weight gain, increased appetite.

weight gain is a common sideeffect of zyprexa. I had a skinny friend that was on it and he definitely gained weight after taking zyprexa for a while.

Zyprexa causes increase appetite as far as i know
