Have you been diagnosed with swine flu by a doctor? Because if no GO SEE ONE because you probably have REGULAR FLU! And no doctor in their right mind would give you tamiflu to treat the H1N1 flu strand!

And its not the SWINE FLU it is H1N1!

  3. KIA, Jan said they had been diagnosed by a doctor. Strangely, you seem to be able to diagnose the strain of 'flu Jan has via a forum. When did you get your medical degree? Also, the last thing doctors want at the moment is for patients with swine 'flu to turn up at their surgeries. If we infect all the doctors, there will be no-one to treat the rest of us. The epidemic is taking hold here in the UK and the advice is to phone the doctor, discuss symptoms over the phone and if necessary, someone will be able to collect Tamiflu on your behalf (If you have swine 'flu, you will be bed ridden with a raging temperature).

  4. H1N1 can be treated with anti viral drugs. The link to the CDC...

An adult can be considered non-infectious 7 days after they developed fever or at the end of a 5-day course of anti-virals.

    Hi,
This will continue for about 5 days to a week's period after the personality is diagnosed as ill. In simple words, transmission takes place before and after falling sick. In case of infected children, they are able to pass on flu virus for an extensive period. Precisely, the contagious period may last for 7 - 14 days. This is because, the developing immune system takes longer period to expel virus completely.
