Should I take Tamiflu, if I don't have the flu

My dad came back from Mexico about 2 weeks ago. Then we heard about the swine flu outbreak. So my dad just bought some Tamiflu tonight and I took one, just to be safe. I'm suppose to take it once a day for the next 6 days now. I just read that there also aren't any really serious side effects... So is it safe to take it even if i don't have the flu?

its not a preventative medicine. It doesn't even treat the flu virus, just the symptoms, so no, don't be stupid and follow the medias fear mongering.
