Is Tamiflu effective for preventing swine flu
If not, is there a vaccine that will help prevent swine flu?

If people start taking tamiflu before they actually have Swine Flu, then Swine Flu would eventually just mutate into a much stronger virus that tamiflu could not treat.

And besides, the goverrnment is actually backing off using Tamiflu because it is said this strain of Swine Flu is actually much more mild than expected.

No Tamiflu will NOT prevent the Swine Flu, it will only help you recover if you get the Swine Flu.

Currently there is no vaccine to prevent the Swine Flu. The normal Flu shots will not prevent the Swine flu.

However, washing your hands regularly and taking your vitamins will reduce your risk. Avoid people who have recently been to Mexico or kissed a pig. avoid Mexican pigs.

No it is taken to EASE the symptoms, you take it within 48 hours of first symptoms.

It neither cures nor prevents it.

NO THERE IS NOT A VACCINE.
It will take at least 200 days to make one, assuming they get what they need and the virus doesn't change in that time.

There is no vaccine.

Tamiflu can only treat you once you have it. It cannot prevent it.
