Do you have to have tamiflu to get rid of swine flu
i was just wandering if you have to have antibiotics to be cured from swine flu or can people's immune systems get rid of it naturally and if if you get it once can you get it again?

The flu whether swine or other strain is NOT treated with antibiotics. Antibiotics are for bacteria and the flu is a virus. The swine flu is over, forget it.

Nope. In actual fact. Some of the population HAVE swine flu, but can fight it off naturally. It's only the rare strains of the swine flu that you need tamiflu for. It's unlikely you will get it! So don't worry

Most people will get over a dose of swine 'flu the same way they do any other 'flu. Rest and plenty of fluid intake. If you do take tamiflu it'll only help you against that one strain of 'flu. 'flu is around every year so tamiflu may help against this strain of 'flu but won't stop anyone getting the next strain of 'flu.

swine flu is not over..a few days ago i had a migrane followed by a sore throat..when i awoke the next day my body hurt all over and i had constant fevers...i am a smoker and have a very weak immune system so i did go to get tested for the flu it came back positive for swine h1n1 flu. the doctor gave me a prescription for tamiflu and said most insurance companies do not recognize tamiflu as a cure for the flu so it might cost around $70 but that it did shorten flu symptoms..its been day three of taking motrin, tamiflu, and drinking large amounts of gatorade and water and i feel as though i just have a mild cold

It is thought that older age groups may have some immunity as they have been exposed to previous H1N1 viruses. Thus, it may be possible not to have another bout with swine flu after you get infected by it---however, more studies should be done to confirm this.

There are recommendations on how to naturally combat swine flu. A lot recommend taking lots of fluids, take plenty of rest and eat food products which are believed to develop immunity against swine flu such as probiotics, foods rich in Vitamin A & C and the amino acid NAC.
