When to stop if your having bad side effects from Tamiflu
I've been on Tamiflu for 3 days now and have bad dizziness and upset stomach and very irritable. I myself was not diagnosed with the influenza A but my grandson was. I'm just a high risk because of lung mass and pleural effusion. I think I would rather have the flu. I can't take the side effects any longer. Can I quit it early? Please help.
Contact NHS direct and ask someone who knows what they are talking about for advice! However, Tamiflu does not prevent the flu and if you have not got it then you can probably safely stop.
On the contrary, Tamiflu CAN reduce your chances of getting the flu but it won't prevent you from spreading the virus to other people. The above side effect you mentioned are normal effects associated with the drug but patients are advised that should the symptoms be persistent or worse than usual, they should seek medical consult.
