How many of the (HIV Positive) people in need of antiretroviral drugs have access to them?

Not enough, these are very expensive and not so available to the common man.

For exact numbers, you can get it from the WHO or World Health Organization or your local department of health. It is quite hard to look for exact numbers over the web, especially the recent ones.

this is one of the saddening truths about our society. a lot really needs them but only few are given access. i really felt sad when we have discussed this in one of my classes in med school before.
