I was asked to find and identify all of the chiral centers in cortisone and assign appropriate (R) or (S) designation for the configuration of each chiral center.
I think I have the general idea for directional assignment but I have no clue how to find the chiral centers. All I have been told is that I need a carbon in tetrahedral configuration with 4 different substituents. I still don't get it, please help!!!!
