I do hope that someone with first-hand experience with MTX for psoriasis. But just as an added information, in most psoriasis patients, improvement can begin within four to six weeks of using methotrexate. Most people see some improvement within two or three months of starting methotrexate.
I'm assuming from your last statement that you were given MTX in injectable form, have you tried asking your doctor if you can get the oral methotrexate? The oral MTX can either be in liquid (which you can mix with you beverage) or pill form.
The most common side effect associated with MTX are nausea & mouth ulcers. Nausea can be prevented when you eat or drink milk prior to taking MTX.
Hope this helps.
