My dog formed a xanthine stone when on allopurinol. Vet said no more allopurinol. Can I just stop its use
I am wondering if allopurinol has to be gradually discontinued or if I can stop its useage cold turkey. Thanks.

didn't you ask your vet this when they told you to stop the drug?

Ask your vet! Often, you can just stop the medication but there are some you have to back off of slowly and one is Predisone.

So call the vet.
