I got bad news today, I have a tubal pregnancy :( Scheduled to get a methotrexate shot tommorow. Any Advice
Today should have worked out differntly. It was my first ultrasound and we were packed and ready to go to Florida to spend time with family. So now, instead of driving I am back home waiting for their phone call tommorow.

I am 6 weeks 3 days. They did not see a sac in the uterus. He did see something around the fallopian tube. So, they tool blood to make sure.

Any support advice will be so appreciated. How do I tell my family and friends? Does the shot of chemo hurt? What can I expect?

Thanks you guys. I am really, really sad.

I don't really have an answer to your question, i just wanted to tell you that i am very sorry, i know that pain. I just had a miscarriage not to long ago. The only advice i can give you is tell your family right now you need them here so that you can have someone to count on to be on your side. Again i am so sorry!

I am so sorry to hear this. I was in the ER today for close to the same thing. I will find out more tomorrow. They didnt see anything in my uterus either but my HCG levels are too low which makes my doc think that I am in the beginning stages rather than a miscarraige. I have been laying here thinking of about how I would tell my fam also. My sister had a good thing to keep in mind. If you can have a tubal pregnancy or a miscarraige.. that just means you CAN get pregnant at least. I know it will be rough at first but it WILL happen. Good luck and I am sorry about your painful news.

I just had a shot of Methotrexate on Monday and the shot itself did not hurt. They divided the dosage into two syringes and put it in both of my hips. Its no more painful than getting a regular shot. I was quite woozy afterward but was fine the rest of the day. Tuesday morning I woke up with a terrible headache and Wednesday (today) I've had terrible abdominal pain. They feel like extremely severe gas pains, radiating from my lower front abdomen to my butt. So, my only advice is to tell you to take the time and rest after if you can. Just because you may feel fine on day 1 doesn't mean you will on day 4 when the stuff actually starts working its way through your system. As for me, hopefully my HCG levels will greatly decrease...they had been going up and down for the past three weeks.
Good luck and sorry for your loss.
