Should I go on Methotrexate for crohns?? :S HELP ME!

Hey everybody,I have severe Crohn's. I have been on quite a few medicines for it, Prednislone, Imuran & Sulfasalazine. I have kept going back on Prednislone. I'm only 11 I have had Crohn's for 3 years now. My doctor wants me to go on Methotrexate or remicade the most, But I have ruled out Remicade due to the side effects. The Methotrexate also has some bad side effects. But it is the only medicine that doesn't have to be injected. I'm really not feeling perfect these days. & the Prednislone is making me feel not so great due to some side effects too. Thanks BUT ONLY serious answers please help!!!

All medications have their own side effects. On which to take is what works the best for you and causes the most tolerable side effects. I say most tolerable because some side effects may not be much of a bother to you that others.

Taking medications as a pill means no needle marks. But methotrexate is also quite a strong medication that you may not want to take it for a longer period of time. For this question, it is actually more of your decision and your doctor's since only you know what your body needs and feels.
