Anyone being treated with hydroxychloroquine & meloxicam for RA
My test came back 100 percent positive for RA three weeks ago. While taking these medications the deep pain is more severe. My inner arms are looking rippled and flabby as if I am loosing muscle. The rheumatologist said these drugs should not cause muscle loss. Appreciate your imput.
Hydroxychloroquine may have side effects like skeletal muscle palsies or skeletal muscle myopathy or neuromyopathy which can lead to muscle weakness and atrophy/wasting.
