Is Pancreasitis a side effect of Enbrel Injections

My partner uses Enbrel Injections that contain the drug 'etanercept'. She uses it to reduce the swelling of her artiritis, but recently she has been admitted to hospital for suspected Pancreasitis, and the doctors suspect it may be caused by the injections. I have done a little research and there has been a few cases worldwide where the two have been connected.

So does anyone know if this is in fact a known side effect?

Pancreatitis can be a rare side effect of Etanercept, but there could be other factors that put her at an increased risk of pancreatitis too. Without knowing her age or other medical conditions, it's hard to comment. It's best you discuss your partners case with her Doctor.
